Named after the jeweller who commissioned him to furnish the shop in 1963, the chair became a symbol of unity with two mirrored chairs in front of a jewellery showcase. The asymmetrical design, made entirely of lines and planes, offers a surprising image from every angle and has become a true design classic. The original chairs were upholstered in white artificial leather, but the wooden version, based on Rietveld's 1963 drawing, has gained more popularity.
